We offer the ultimate freediving hybrid trips for certified freedivers seeking to hone their freedive skills under the coaching of a veteran instructor and also experience life changing animal encounters in Hawaii's aquatic environment. Our freediving focused trips and multi-day depth camps are designed for those wishing to improve their underwater abilities, apply them practically at unique dive sites on the Kona Coast, and spend some time in bluewater looking for pelagic wildlife.
Each of our 5-6 hour freediving trips are segmented into either depth training or deep reef diving, followed by an offshore wildlife safari.

Makai was founded by See Through Sea's owner, Dylan Currier, a certified Level 2 Freediving Instructor and Instructor Trainer with Freediving Instructors International (FII). At Makai, we teach FII-certified freediving courses designed to give you a strong foundation in safety, technique, and underwater efficiency that lasts for a lifetime.
