Who are your trips for?Our trips are designed for ocean lovers-whether you're a wildlife enthusiast, freediver, photographer, or just curious about the open sea. We also accommodate families and corporate outings. Head to our bookings page to start planning your trip.
-
What should I expect? Our public wildlife safaris typically spend the majority of time offshore, then some time at 1 or 2 reef snorkel sites-weather dependent. Private charters can be fully customized.
-
How long is the tour? Our public offshore wildlife safaris typically last 4 to 5 hours, depending on conditions and wildlife activity. Private charters can be tailored in length depending on your goals and availability-just reach out if you're interested in something different.
-
How many people can come on the boat? Our vessel is USCG-rated for 6 passengers. This ensures a more intimate experience and allows us to cater to individual comfort and safety.
-
Are there age limitations?Yes. For safety reasons, our public tours are limited to guests ages 16 and up. We operate in deep, open ocean-often far from shore-and conditions can be unpredictable. All participants must be comfortable on a boat for several hours and able to follow safety instructions from the crew. For families with younger guests, we're happy to discuss private charter options, where the trip can be tailored to your group's needs and comfort level.
-
Is there a weight limit? For safety and vessel weight distribution, we typically accommodate individuals up to 275 lbs. If you have questions about mobility or access, please contact us directly.
-
What should I bring? We recommend bringing: A towel Reef-safe sunscreen (learn more here) Sunglasses A hat and/or sun-protective clothing A warm layer for the ride home (it can get chilly offshore, especially after getting out of the water) A reusable water bottle A light snack if you'd like (some food and water is provided by See Through Sea) A GoPro or waterproof camera (optional) We provide all in-water gear, but feel free to bring your own mask, snorkel, and fins if you prefer. Please avoid bringing anything that isn't waterproof or stowable - space is limited onboard, and we'll be in open ocean.
-
Do you provide all the necessary gear?See Through Sea provides masks, snorkels, and fins for all guests. If you prefer to use your own gear, you're welcome to bring it along. If you're a freediver and have long fins or specialized equipment, feel free to bring what you're comfortable with. Just make sure it's ocean-ready and easy to transport-space onboard is limited. Please note: we do not provide wetsuits.
-
Do I need a wetsuit? We do not provide wetsuits. Most guests are comfortable swimming without one, especially in the summer months. Water temperatures range from 76°F (24°C) in winter to 86°F (30°C) in summer. If you tend to get cold, we recommend bringing a wetsuit top or spring suit.
-
I'm a freediver - do you have a trip where I can freedive with animals? We offer freedive-specific trips for certified freedivers, led by a certified instructor. You can learn more about those on our Freediving Experiences page. Freedivers are also welcome on any of our standard trips, but must follow proper freediving safety protocols. Freediving alone or without a safety diver is strictly prohibited.
-
Is it safe?Yes. Safety is our highest priority. Our crew is highly trained and operates with strict safety protocols both on the boat and in the water. Ocean conditions are monitored closely, and all in-water activities are optional.
-
How do I book with See Through Sea?Head to our bookings tab and select the tour type you'd like to book, select a date, and follow the prompts for group size and passenger information.
-
How do I book a private charter? To arrange a private charter, please contact dylan@seethroughsea.com.
-
What about weather - do you reschedule? Our weather is typically consistent and favorable, but safety is always our priority. If weather or ocean conditions make it unsafe or compromise the nature of our tours, we'll work with you to reschedule or provide a refund.
-
What is the cancellation policy? We require at least 24 hours' notice for all cancellations. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled trip are non-refundable.
-
Do I need to be a certified scuba diver or freediver? No certification is required. Our trips are open to swimmers and snorkelers of all backgrounds. Prior snorkeling experience is highly recommended, and swimming comfort is mandatory for anyone planning to get in the water. Guests are always welcome to remain on board. Our freediving specific trips do require freediving certifications from a recognized agency.
